Hey, Let’s Talk About Copyright

We take intellectual property seriously around here — because great art deserves protection! It’s Vintage Sign Vault’s policy to promptly review, investigate, and act on any notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Title 17, United States Code, Section 512 (“DMCA”). Think someone’s using your creative work without permission on our site? We want to know about it — here’s exactly what to send us:

1. A description of the copyrighted work or intellectual property you believe has been infringed.
2. A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on a Vintage Sign Vault website — the more specific, the better!
3. Your contact info: a mailing address, phone number, and email address where Vintage Sign Vault can reach you, plus (if different) an email where the alleged infringing party can contact you directly.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use of the material isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate — and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner, or are authorized to act on their behalf.
6. Your electronic or physical signature.

Heads up:

Vintage Sign Vault may request additional information before pulling any infringing material. We may also share your email address with the alleged infringing party so they have the opportunity to respond to your claims.

We expect all users of Vintage Sign Vault websites to play by the rules and respect applicable copyright laws. That said, if we’re notified of a claimed infringement — or if we become aware of circumstances where infringement seems apparent — we’ll take appropriate action within 30 days. That may include removing or disabling access to the material in question. We’ll follow all DMCA procedures, including notifying the right parties, accepting counter notifications, and, where applicable, restoring (“putback”) any material that was wrongly taken down.
